Choose CSV for Processing or Importing
CSV is useful when another app or system needs to read the scan results. It is a simple tabular format supported by many spreadsheet apps and business tools.
Choose CSV when you want to:
- Import the results into another tool
- Process the data with a script
- Open the list in different spreadsheet apps
Choose Excel for an Editable Sheet
The Excel export creates an .xlsx file with the number, scanned code, barcode format, and scan date and time. It is suitable when the exported file serves as a working sheet.
Choose Excel when you want to:
- Add product names, owners, or notes
- Sort and filter records
- Continue managing the list in Excel
Choose PDF for Sharing or Printing
The PDF export presents the scan history as a table. Longer histories continue onto additional pages, making the format suitable for a record that will be reviewed or printed.
Choose PDF when you want to:
- Send a list without requiring a spreadsheet app
- Keep a fixed record
- Print the scan results
Export with Barcode Reader X
- Scan the required barcodes or QR codes
- Review the scan history and remove unwanted rows
- Open the export menu
- Select CSV, Excel, or PDF
- Save or share the exported file
