How to Share Barcode Scan Results
Share scanned barcode and QR code results by copying them or sending a file. It keeps long numbers accurate when you pass them on.
Reading a long number aloud or copying it onto a note is where mistakes creep in. Passing the scan result along directly avoids mistyped digits.
Sharing a Single Result
Tap a result in the list to copy it, then paste it into an email or chat.
Sharing Many Results
Pick a format from the export menu to share your history as a file.
| Format | Best for |
|---|---|
| Text | Pasting straight into a message |
| CSV | Spreadsheets and business systems |
| Excel (.xlsx) | Handing over a management sheet |
| Records and reports |
The exported file can be sent through the iPhone share menu, including mail and messages.
Check Before Sending
- No leftover scans you did not intend to include
- No numbers that should stay inside your organization
- A format the recipient can open
Rows you do not need can be removed by swiping them sideways in the list.
Notes
- The free version limits how many exports you can try
- Take care when sharing real tracking numbers or customer reference numbers
